Travelling along the road amidst picturesque vineyards, one reaches the property, which consists of a charming farmhouse to be restored dating back to the 18th century, various storerooms and a large living area characterised by fine finishes. Its particular architecture and the vast surrounding land amidst gentle hills give the property the charm of a small village developed vertically with a central square. In this corner of Monferrato, one has the feeling that the pace of life slows down and the only sound perceived is that of nature in its most delicate facets. The part that is still used as a dwelling consists of two houses that have been carefully restored respecting the building characteristics of the area. In the first house of approximately 235 square metres, we find on the ground floor a large living room with fireplace and a kitchen, while on the second floor there are two bathrooms and two bedrooms with exposed beams and parquet flooring. Crossing the pleasant central portico (140 sqm), we reach the other, larger house, which in turn is divided into two living quarters. On the ground floor we find the billiard room and a 120 sqm accommodation. On the other hand, the first floor of approximately 300 sqm comprises a large living room with a fireplace, a kitchen, seven bedrooms and three bathrooms. A charming gorse path leads to the swimming pool, which, being on a hill, is exposed to full sun throughout the day. Worthy of note is certainly the stone farmhouse, a splendid example of 18th century architecture and entirely in need of renovation. It has a beautiful view of the valley below with its own land totalling about 20 hectares, 3 hectares of which are cultivated as vineyards. This last aspect may also be interesting for those who cultivate the dream of keeping horses in the wild.
SITEThe estate is located on a hill that slopes down towards the valley, about a quarter of an hour from the towns of Ovada and Acqui Terme. The property is about ten kilometres from the Ovada motorway exit, which connects Alessandria to Genoa, from which you can reach Genoa airport in 45' and the airports of Turin and Milan in about 1h 30'. We are in the heart of Alto Monferrato, characterised by traditional Piedmontese cuisine, recently included in the Unesco heritage list, in the area of Dolcetto and Brachetto vineyards. The pretty hills around offer the cue for pleasant walks or bike rides. In this regard, it should be noted that the area in which the property is located is part of a beautiful circuit of trails in the upper Orba valley that passes through the hamlet of Olbicella.
