In the centre of a lively hilltop village, a historic property arranged in such a way as to maintain its own privacy. This property complex consists of a number of adjoining buildings: the owners' house (approx. 450 sqm on three levels) and the sharecroppers' house (approx. 170 sqm), both dating back to the 19th century. There is also a more recent building, used for purely agricultural purposes. The elegant architectural style and grandeur of the main building denote the importance of the family that had it built; this is also confirmed by the large cellars in the basement levels. The buildings are in excellent condition from a structural point of view, but a renovation is advisable, preserving the characteristics of the buildings while providing modern comforts. The roof of the house and much of the roofs of the cottages, were renovated about ten years ago. Inside the most elegant building there are antique doors and frescoed rooms, some still furnished with antiques, offering the charm of the past. Since several families lived in the building complex in the past, even then the various rooms were separated, with separate kitchens and independent entrances. Such features still allow for independent use of the structure by several families today. The buildings enclose a beautiful courtyard adjacent to which we find a lush garden with a well and cistern. Consecutively there is then an area designated for lawn in which it is possible to insert an infinity pool with views towards the hills. Two large gates grant driveway access to the property. The cellars are striking with their barrel-vaulted ceilings and exposed brick lunettes. The main building faces the public street, along which the property has an additional plot of land of about 1,000 square meters, potentially usable to create parking areas. Property consistent from the urban planning point of view as it is the subject of a recent cadastral update.
SITEWe are in the exuberant reality of Piedmont, in an ancient village with a panoramic location. The village is part of the Piedmontese territory, which has been listed as a Unesco heritage site since 2014. The property is a 20-minute drive from the city of Asti, 17 minutes from the Felizzano tollgate and an hour from Turin and its airport. The village, most probably of Roman origin, has its first written records dating back to the Middle Ages and its current architecture testifies to its former wealth. It is a village that maintains its traditions to a high degree. An example of this is the historic game of Tamburello a muro (Tambourine on the wall), as well as the various events organised throughout the year such as
