Among the green hills of Alto Monferrato, a large estate where you can find refuge in a timeless environment. The property is for the most part restored and is set amidst the woods on the property for almost 9 hectares, formerly used as pastureland for horses. The complex is L-shaped. On one side there is the living unit on three levels for a total of approx. 250 sqm. Here there are two living quarters (one on the ground floor and one on the first floor). Both accommodations consist of a kitchen, two rooms and two bathrooms. On the first floor there is a further room with a bathroom with separate access. The other wing of the structure, on the other hand, represents the accommodation part and is divided on three floors for a total of approximately 300 square metres. On the ground floor there are two rooms overlooking the park, a bright professional kitchen, a pantry and two bathrooms with an accessory room. On the first floor is the sleeping area with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Finally, the second attic floor is prepared for the creation of two bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen. All the materials used in the creation of this unit, harmonise nicely with the surrounding nature. Behind the farmhouse we find the farm buildings, most of which consist of stables for the horses. Until a few years ago, in fact, the estate also included an equestrian centre. These rural buildings are located in a reserved area in the first lands of the large park that extends to the surrounding hills. Right on the hill, in a dominant position, there is also the rectangle for horses. In this considerable park, an infinity pool could eventually be built, reminiscent of a natural pool facing the gentler slope.
SITEThe property is located a few kilometres from the motorway exit of Serravalle Scrivia, from which the airport of Genoa can be reached in 45 minutes and the airports of Turin and Milan in about 1h 30'. Neighbouring Serravalle Scrivia is known for its large McArthurGren Group outlet as well as for its confectionery, textile and wrought-iron enterprises. The area is on the border between Piedmont and Liguria, where the Borbera stream meets the Scrivia torrent. Here, Alto Monferrato slopes down towards the Ligurian Apennines and presents an extraordinary variety of landscapes, from undulating heights to more rugged and severe panoramas where the vineyards leave more and more space to the woods. With a dense geometry of vineyards alternating with hilltop villages, Roman fortifications and places of worship, the area is known for the archaeological site of Libarna and the fort of Gavi. The food and wine tradition of these 'border' lands, between Piedmont and Liguria, between the sea and the mountains, is simple but tasty and is reflected in the preparation of typical products such as Ravioli di Gavi, Focaccia and Farinata, sweets such as canestrelli and amaretti biscuits or wines such as Cortese di Gavi.
